Welcome Happy Hour!
Following our Fall Orientation, please join us for a happy hour at a bar in Foggy Bottom! It's a great way to get to know each other and the professors in a more casual atmosphere.

International Education Week
This week, initiated by the U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is one of the most important celebrations within our field, and we are lucky to be a big part of it.
International Thanksgiving
This is our flagship event! We provide traditional American Thanksgiving food, and others are encouraged to bring dishes from their own family or cultural traditions. We open it to all international students within the graduate school, and to everyone in IEA, along with family and partners.
For 2018, the event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 17th from 12pm - 2pm.
Photo Exhibit and Contest
Each spring, we host an evening showcasing the photography and global experiences of IEP students. Honored guests and judges often include members of the Washington international education community, which provides a great networking opportunity as well as a unique prompt to share our personal travel stories!
Graduation
The final event of the year is GSEHD graduation day! It's a great opportunity for professors to meet and engage with graduates and their families and a nice way to say a final goodbye.
We also host a final picnic or social event for all students to come together and celebrate the end of the school year!
Other Events
Throughout the year, we arrange and host other opportunities for our students and alumni including service learning, professional development programs, and social events.
